This is a full remote position in Japan

What you will be doing:

You will be doing case management from A to Z. The Case Manager is responsible for the coordination of patent filings worldwide through our network of foreign associates. They will receive instructions from the sales and customer success teams, communicate with customers, establish contact with our foreign associates and play the role of facilitator between the two parties in order to ensure timely filing of the application.

You are a detail-oriented, proactive Paralegal. You thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, excelling at case management, clear communication, and handling multiple tasks efficiently. With strong organizational skills and tech proficiency in Excel and case management tools, you are comfortable collaborating with clients, foreign associates, and internal teams. You bring a problem-solving mindset and adaptability, always looking for ways to improve workflows. This role is ideal for someone seeking broader business exposure, global collaboration, and growth opportunities beyond a traditional law firm setting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Managing IP filing cases from instruction to completion, ensuring seamless execution of filings.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.
  • Coordinating with foreign associates, customers, and internal teams for case updates and document handling.
  • Handling administrative tasks, including document preparation, tracking deadlines, and accounting processes.
  • Supporting new initiatives and services, keeping abreast of technological evolutions and global collaboration efforts.
  • Streamlining and improving workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an IP paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Proficiency in case management tools, Microsoft Excel, and general computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Full time availability. Monday - Friday.
  • Full command of English, both spoken and written form
